Spanish Ceramics
Lustre, and the Islamic inheritance
Spanish ceramics carry the Islamic inheritance further than anywhere else in Europe: lustre, tin glaze, and a palette that stayed warm while the rest went blue.
What to look for
A metallic lustre glaze, a maker's mark, and decoration that is painted rather than printed.
